Off to the right (mostly hidden by the mat when it is placed back on) is a partially visible seated woman and the prongs of a posing stand. Hard to see in my scan but written inside of the case is a note that says, "Miss Maria Evans. From Friend Jack. J. P. Marshall Photographer Artist July 1862." There was a J. P. Marshall
