This is a lovely original vintage hand carved trinket or jewelry box or lidded tobacco jar

They are made of heavy solid brass and measure 9 1/2 inches in height

It was published in 1816

It has hand sculpted dogs lining the outside. It still has it's original top lid. It measures 3 inches or 7. 5 cm tall and 4 inches or 10 cm in diameter. A couple of the dogs have chips as photographed. Other than that, it is in good condition for its age.
