The stretching of the fiber reduces the micon count to 14 and smooths the scales giving you a slinky smooth ultra soft wool. You really have to feel it to believe how soft it is. Optim is a dream to spin, but often I have a hard time deciding between spinning and fondling it because it's just so dreamy soft and I want to
